GROUP CLASSES (scroll down for Private and First Dance lessons)
Q. Do I need a partner?
A. No. You can come on your own to any of our classes. There are always others you can dance with either a fellow pupil or one of our helpers.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Whatever you are most comfortable in, but its always worth wearing layers as it can get quite warm and you may want to take something off!
Q. What should I wear on my feet?
A. Again whatever you are most comfortable in. Think about shoes that are flexible so that you can lift your heel off the floor and with soles that will not stick to a wooden floor, but allow you to pivot. If you catch the dancing bug then you can buy some dance shoes.
Q. Do I need to bring anything?
A. A drink is a good idea as you get quite a workout. Apart from that just a sense of humour as everyone has great fun at the classes.
Q. Is it necessary to book a place for joining a class?
A. No. You can just turn up on the night. However, if you want to phone it is always nice to talk to you and answer any further queries that you may have and it gives us some idea how many we can expect at a new class.
Q. What happens if I miss a week?
A. We always go over what we did the previous week for those who have had to miss a week and as a refresher for those who may have forgotten.
Q. How do I pay?
A. You pay as you come for each session or by purchasing a block of sessions. We can only accept cash or cheque at the sessions or you can pay in advance by electronic transfer - please contact us for details.
Q. What age range do you cater for?
A. Our classes attract a broad range of ages, sizes and personalities. We have young adults still in school through to retired people. The one thing in common with everyone is their friendliness and desire to dance. Age is certainly no guide to ability or enthusiasm!!
PRIVATE / FIRST DANCE LESSONS
Q. Where and when are the lessons held?
A. The lessons are held mostly on Fridays and Saturdays at Coxheath Village Hall or Linton Village Hall. However, other days are available if this doesn't suit you.
Q. How many lessons will we need to have for our First Dance?
A. The most popular question asked but the most difficult to answer as there are so many factors to be considered. However, the minimum we would say you should have is 3 lessons, although on average couples have about 5 or 6. Some, of course have many more as they are looking for the real WOW factor & are out to really impress their guests!!
